We have been seeing Summit Pediatric Dentistry since both of my kids were old enough to go to the dentist (they are now 11 and 8 years old). My kids unfortunately inherited some difficult dental genetics, so even with great oral hygiene, we still end up needing fillings and other dental work from time to time. The team here has always been incredible. They use kid-friendly terms to explain procedures so children feel comfortable and understand what is happening instead of feeling scared. My youngest even needed crowns at a young age and had to undergo anesthesia for the procedure. The coordination with CMH was excellent, and everything went very smoothly. What really sets this office apart is how much they focus on preventing dental anxiety. When one of my children started becoming nervous about dental visits, they recommended a "balloon appointment", a simple visit to get a balloon and popsicle to rebuild positive feelings around the dentist. They even have a friendly dog in the office that helps kids feel relaxed and comfortable. Every hygienist we’ve worked with has been kind, patient, and professional, and the quality of care has always been outstanding. I would absolutely recommend Summit Pediatric Dentistry to any family looking for a positive pediatric dental experience.

Rachel at the front desk (and all of those ladies) were incredibly helpful during my insurance issues and helped me work through them. They went above and beyond for us! Each hygienist we had was wonderful but this last time Barbye was really wonderful with my children’s difficulties! Dr. Mathew always has my children laughing and gets them engaged before his examination which puts them at ease. He’s also very cognizant of them and what may upset them. I appreciate the entire staff!

Dr Matthew and all the staff, especially Becky, were and are amazing with my son. He is 5 years old and nonverbal. They show such care and don’t traumatize the kids. It’s awesome. They offer balloon parties for nervous kids so they can have a tour, meet the service dog, Bear, and be comfortable there before ever having an exam. I adore them. Thank you all!

Dr. Matthews and the team are exceptional. My son is nonverbal and tends to be apprehensive about dental visits. I was truly impressed by how the team adjusted when he felt uneasy. Instead of expecting my son to conform to the usual routine, they modified their approach to suit him… we performed our examination in the lobby! There was no suggestion to reschedule; they simply took care of everything on the spot. I am incredibly grateful for their understanding and compassion.

absolutely FANTASTIC place. The dentist and the hygienist go above and beyond to make the kids feel safe and comfortable. My kids both were scared of the dentist due to their previous experience elsewhere and now they ask how much longer until they go back!

Such a great dental office! Everyone is always so nice and Dr. Mathew makes hard talks easy and sometimes funny. We truly appreciate the everyone including the sweet puppy at Summit Pediatric Dentistry!
