Downriver Smiles

From beginning and now on, this is the best dental group I have ever experienced. Ebony helped me schedule very nicely and was my very first contact here and provided a very warm welcome. Carly an absolute pleasure and very good at her procedures (caring and positive) and finally Dr. Harding a top shelf guy and very very good at communication and explanation of my personal care plan (which is extensive). I am very glad to have the support of this group of really great people.

I love Downriver Smiles! The dentists, technicians, and office staff are delightful. Dr. Gaunt does great work and is very personable. I had two old silver fillings redone with no pain. My son had his wisdom teeth removed by a partner surgeon and my mother in law and husband both had crowns done…very good experiences for us all. I highly recommend Dr. Gaunt and Downriver Smiles.

I wish I could say I loved the office but with the turnover rate I never know anyone there anymore. I’ve had such nice girls clean my teeth and the next time I go in they have left. Always new faces in the front I never know who I’m talking to on the phone. I would recommend finding a dentist who not only wants to keep their employees but their patients too!

I've had over 10 Dentists in my lifetime and Dr Gaunt is by far the best of the lot! Not only is Dr Gaunt's cosmetic dental work impeccable, but he has a consistently positive & sincere personality - which I totally admire about him.

I’ve been here a few times for cleanings, and got my wisdom teeth out today. Everyone has been well-informed and friendly, but not in a fake, customer service way. I really appreciate the staff, hygienists, and doctors being transparent with treatments and procedures, being someone that is very nervous around the medical field.

Went in because my crown came loose. Instead of just gluing it back on they took x-rays and then told me that I had an infection at the bottom of my root. He gave me options, talked about what he felt was the best option and then offered for me to get a second opinion if I needed. We discussed surgery, pulling the tooth or trying another root canal. I asked about the surgery and he explained how everything would go. I asked about the root canal and he stated that there is always a chance that the infection would be back. When I went out to reception, the receptionist explained the costs for me, but then told me how great of a dentist I had and that he had done the surgery procedure quite a lot and knew what he was doing. I don’t want to lose any more teeth so I went with the surgery, and the receptionist told me she was proud of me and gave me a hug. It wasn’t an easy decision, but after meeting with the doctor and talking with the receptionist I know I made the right choice. They will continue to be my dentist moving forward…because they seem to care more about me as a person, and not just about making money, even though this was my very first visit. Thank you for the great service for my first time in your office!

I always had good cleanings and felt like Dr. Harding and Dr. Gaunt were both great dentist. However, there were a few things that have given me a bad taste in my mouth. Most recently, I was referred to an endodontist for a retreatment of a root canal. I was not given options for the referral, and not knowing much about it, went ahead and went to the referred endodontist for a consultation. It was only after the consultation that it came to my attention that the endodontist was out of network for my dental insurance (Dental Dental)! This was not told to me by either Downriver Smiles or the Endodontist, both of whom knew what insurance I have, but rather I found it out myself when doing other research for alternative options. This wouldn’t be a big deal, apart from the fact that there are two endodontists in Spokane that are covered by my insurance, neither of which were given as options by Downriver, and to which I had to self refer... It felt like this was a referral agreement to make money between the two offices and really gave me the ick. Headed back to my old dentist!
