They do not try to "upsell" with unnecessary procedures like many other dentists unfortunately do, and their Invisalign pricing is very fair. Dr. Shin is young, highly trained and takes the time to ask questions/listen to patients.i completely trust his judgement and his technical skills, and the hygienists are the best I’ve ever experienced. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff and the hygienist were absolutely delightful and made my child feel so comfortable. I had been bracing myself for tears and screaming—especially since my little one has recently become very protective of their mouth—but the experience was the complete opposite. Dr. Shin and the entire team were incredibly patient. Even though it took a while for my child to feel ready to open up, they never rushed us; they simply waited and stayed encouraging. It is so reassuring to find a practice that is truly family-oriented and handles all age groups with such care. I can confidently say that, Breanna, I believe shes the office manager did her due diligence to ensure I had a horrible experience. I came in for an issue with anticipation of getting all of my work done here at the office. I had some changes with work, which means that I couldn't be there due to business needs and lets be honest, in this economy we are prioritizing work. Also, I wasn't in any agony or pain at the moment. I reached out on the 22nd saying that I would not be able to make it due to work. My appointment was on the 24th. This is a office that is only open Monday-Thurday so it's super hard to give that notice during business hours. She didn't try to understand anything that I was saying, she didn't try to hear me out, just flat out said no. Emergencies happen all the time. No one will be able to make all appointments and other things will take priority. I truly hate the way I was treated and 100% will not be spending my resources here. I hope the $150 fee was worth the thousands that I was planning to pay to fix my smile. I appreciate their measured approach to dental care - they don’t push procedures unnecessarily but are also proactive when they’re needed. The docs explain things well and always involve me in decision-making. The office is clean and up to date, and the views from their 15th floor downtown office aren’t too shabby either! I also appreciate that they invest in technologies that are purposeful rather than trendy, so If you’re looking for maximum technology bling I’d say look at other practices. Because of the great preventive care I’ve received here over the last 25+ years I haven’t had many restorative procedures, but the one root canal and two fillings I’ve done here were painless and complication-free. From the first visit, I’ve been so pleased. The staff is extremely kind and patient and Dr Shin is wonderful. He takes time to talk you through things, gives you options and recommendations but most importantly, he starts by asking me about what I want. This has been the biggest difference. With a lot of my other dentists I often feel that if I don’t comply with their recommendation, it makes it awkward to continue seeing them. Not with Dr Shin. He is also very thorough, gentle and very caring. My hygienist name Sonia was very nice, took me to a room for my dental check up, took my X-ray with extra care and always asked if I was ok. She cleaned my teeth really well. Her hand was light and never felt any pain at all. She was very good in rinsing and suctioning my mouth which I like a lot. My mouth feels cleaner. As a new patient, Dr Shin came to check my teeth.
