Ideal Dental San Marcos

My wife and I were first-timers and both of us were very happy with Dr. Messini(sic?) and staff. They were all very friendly and welcoming. Doc explained his findings and provided a proposed treatment plan with no pressure and a comfortable old-fashioned bedside manner. Liz thoroughly and methodicaly went over our insurance and options. Thanks to her, doc, and everyone else (Miranda, Marisol, Grace, Melinda) for a great first time experience at Ideal San Marcos. Update 02/25/26; we've been coming back to this Ideal location since my previous and first posting. Dr. Tijerina and staff (Liz, Alexis, Miranda, Marisol, Grace) make you feel at ease and provide excellent customer service. Today was a root canal for my wife and a couple of fillings for me. My wife and I are very happy and extremely satisfied with the dental services we've received. Ideal has a great team here and we intend to return for any future Dental needs! A special thanks to Liz since she manages the front office so efficiently and above and beyond customer care.

Dr Yang and DA Miranda were great! I had them do a filling for a cavity and they went through every step before doing anything. It was my first time at this office and I’ll definitely be coming back! Grace in the front office was also very helpful with scheduling next appointment!

I had the best experience at this location. I am someone who has anxiety surrounding the dentist but the staff here made me feel at ease. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was extremely professional and let me know what was going on every step of the way. I want to give a special shout out to the front desk staff who were very welcoming and left me with an amazing first impression. I used to go to the Kyle location but moved to the San Marcos one because it is closer to my school. I would highly recommend!

Normally, I’m a little nervous at the dentist. The folks at Ideal Dental made me feel incredibly comfortable. They didn’t berate me for my teeth grinding or the fact that it’s been waaay too long since I have had any sort of dental care. Wholeheartedly recommend!

I arrived 10 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment, only to be informed that it had been canceled because I did not call to confirm. At no point was I notified that confirmation was required to retain my appointment, nor was I given any notice that it had been canceled. To make matters worse, the next day I received an automated message stating that I had "missed" my appointment and needed to reschedule. That is simply not true. I was there, on time, and ready. The appointment was given away without my knowledge. If I had no intention of showing up, I would not have spent time the day before completing registration forms, signing consents, and providing personal information. I also took time off work and drove to the office, only to be turned away. This reflects a serious lack of communication and respect for patients’ time. My first experience with this business was extremely disappointing, and I will be seeking care elsewhere. I would not recommend based on this experience.

Fantastic service!! I’m actually so sad that the four years I’ve spent in San Marcos I could have been coming to Ideal Dental the whole time!! 100% recommend. I scheduled online super quick and easy. The team was fantastic as well, very sweet and easygoing.

It was great. Doctor and assistant were friendly and courteous as well as front office personnel. Very professional and had no real pain during the initial extraction could not be more happier with the service and would recommend others.
