I recently experienced a dental emergency, and despite my significant dental anxiety, Monument Family Dentistry provided exceptional care that alleviated my concerns. The entire team demonstrated remarkable kindness, compassion, and attentiveness to my needs. The dental professionals were outstanding, and by the conclusion of my appointment, I was genuinely smiling and laughing. This practice is highly recommended, particularly for individuals who experience dental anxiety. I am pleased to announce that Monument Family Dentistry is now my preferred dental provider.

This past Friday, I had my first dental appointment in about 5 years. I was very nervous going in, as I have a lot of anxiety around dental care--both the physical experience (sensory hell; thanks, autism!) and not knowing if my teeth/gums would be in at least decent shape and how they would react to that. I couldn't be more pleased with how my appointment went. Staff were all very understanding of my anxiety and made every effort to accommodate me. Some adjustments that were made without me even asking (or knowing I could ask): - stress balls and water offered almost as default - explaining what they were doing before they did it - local anesthetic gel during cleaning (life-changing) - dimmed lights during cleaning - pauses whenever needed The environment was welcoming, and all staff explained everything very well when I had questions. They were non-judgmental and transparent about the work I needed done on my teeth and what everything would cost. Highly recommend; you will not regret visiting here. Please do note that they only take Delta insurance, so if you do not want to pay everything out of pocket, you need to have Delta.

Beautiful office, friendly staff all around, taken back right at my appt time and Dr Sterling was fantastic and was very honest with me about veneers in terms of why they wouldn’t be best way to go for me. (Wasn’t trying to sell me something that he wasn’t comfortable with.) Happy to have found this practice!! My daughter had great exp too!

Loved my experience at Monument Family Dental. Brenna made my teeth feel so clean (and was so kind and gentle)! The whole office has such an RVA-core vibe and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and non judgmental. They made me feel so comfortable from start to finish. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jasmine made my boyfriend’s dental visit an amazing experience. She was friendly, professional, and took the time to make sure he felt comfortable the entire time. Her calm, caring approach really stood out and made everything so much easier. I highly recommend her, she’s fantastic at what she does!

Five stars for the entire team at Monument Family Dentistry. Dr. Karp and her assistant Malajah are excellent, very thorough and communicative during the appointment. Also, a big thanks to Isabelle at the front desk for being so friendly and helpful with my scheduling. Great office all around!
