Ideal Dental Pearland

Please beware and get a second opinion before going through with dental procedures at Ideal Dental Pearland. I went in for a routine cleaning in October 2025, and Mrs. Pinckney told me I needed EIGHT fillings after only reviewing photos. She never physically checked my teeth for staining or decay using a dental explorer/probe (the pointed instrument dentists use to feel for soft spots or cavities). She then told me I needed a more intensive and expensive cleaning because my gums were bleeding, despite the fact that I floss daily. The hygienist also never properly measured my gum depths, she only briefly poked at my gums instead of performing a full periodontal exam. I was willing to proceed with the cleaning, but the hygienist never returned. I eventually left the room and saw her chatting with a coworker. When I told them I was leaving, they handed me an extremely expensive treatment plan. I later went to another dentist for a second opinion. After a thorough exam, I was told I only needed a regular cleaning and one filling. The dentist was shocked that Ideal Dental claimed I needed eight fillings and explained that what they likely saw were stains, not cavities. Please do your due diligence and get a second opinion. I worry that patients who don’t know better may be overcharged for unnecessary procedures.

Everyone is so nice and friendly. Made me feel very comfortable like family. They explain in detail what they will do for your treatment plan. Extremely happy with Dr. Pinckney and her team. 5 stars!

I would recommend Ideal Pearland to every single person who needs dental work done. The ladies at the front desk are absolutely amazing. They are so knowledgeable, understanding and proactive when it comes to making appointments, understanding care, and working through with a smile on their face. They all genuinely love what they do and care about their patients. Love Ideal Pearland! 💖💖 p.s. It’s cold so bring a jacket, but they do have blankets too 🥰

Friendly staff. Had a root canal done and the hygienist was wonderful and knowledgeable. The dentist was amazing, very informative and precise. Thank you for a great experience.

The staff are always friendly and do their best to make you feel comfortable. They explain everything prior to the visit and break down the cost. They are helpful in assisting with setting up a payment plan if needed. They let you decide when and if you get the procedure needed and allow you to do it on your schedule-when you are ready. I have never felt pressured to get anything done, just advised.

I agree with Oliver. I went to Ideal Dental for several years with good experience, but the last couple of times I felt like I was in a low rent used car lot. I have a new dentist now and they found a cavity that’s been there at least two years. They were always trying to upgrade and sell me something I didn’t necessarily need at the moment. But somehow missed this cavity. They certainly never missed the opportunity to sell me a root canal, or a crown, or $1300 cleaning! I would not recommend or trust.
