Dr. Barton W. Putnam, DDS

I had a root canal about 6 months ago done by Dr. Putnam. I also had another root canal done years ago by him. Absolutely no issues at all. It's the best experience I have ever had. Dr. Putnam gets the job done quickly and without a lot of stress. My wife and I highly recommentd this practice! Remember that root canals are not that pretty at all as Warren Zevon said in one of his songs.

I had never had a root canal and Dr. Putnam did my first. I was so nervous because of what I’ve been told before about root canals from other people. The staff and the doctor were great with me and I did not have any pain. They’ve taken great care of me and they truly seem like they care for you.

Dr. Putnam got me in as scheduled and performed my room canal without complications. Asked me if I had any concerns and had good chair side manners.

I had to have an old root canal replaced because there was new shadowing around it. Dr. Putnam and his staff were amazing! They made the process smooth and hassle free with my insurance and dentist. I have had both good and bad dental experiences in the past so I know the difference between acceptable and unacceptable levels of pain with the shots and work. Dr. Putnam was great with the shots and the procedure! My mouth was not overly sore and he made sure there was nothing that would cause pain or problems until my regular dentist did the filling to finish it up. I will be recommending this office to anyone who needs a root canal in the future!!!

Putnam got me in very fast for a root canal that was completely disrupting my life. I was describing it to my wife as someone constantly shoving a push pin through my tooth and in to my brain. Even with pain meds I was down and out. He did a phenomenal job, in and out in 45 minutes, the only "painful" part was numbing which is to be expected. After that I felt nothing, he was thorough, and I am no longer in pain. I am extremely pleased and would highly recommend him.

I've never been scared of the dentist, but my entire root canal I felt uninformed and not cared about. The doctor began by speaking to me condescendingly and rushed me into beginning the procedure. I cried through most of the root canal and had to nudge the nurse to suction when I nearly choked. I have a very small mouth, I know, but my face swelled for 7 days afterward, I got lockjaw and my cheek is bruised. I often felt through the appointment that the doctor was being needlessly aggressive. All that to say, I've never had a worse experience before and am now a nervous patient.

Left me with an incomplete root canal and all points of filling. This was clearly displayed with X-rays at a different practice. So grateful i went somewhere else and had it fixed. Do not go to this "doctor" He also had terrible bedside manner.
