New Smile Orthodontics

I am very disappointed with my experience at the Manteca office. Upon arrival, neither the front desk staff nor the young man working there greeted us, which immediately set an unwelcoming tone. Additionally, after my daughter’s wire was repaired, the assistant did not return to explain what had been done or provide any follow-up—something we have consistently experienced at the Tracy office and greatly appreciate. What was most concerning, however, was that my daughter was told she could fix her wire herself using tweezers. This is unacceptable. I have invested a significant amount in her orthodontic care, and it is not appropriate to expect a patient—especially a child—to handle their own repairs. She is the patient, not the professional. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to the Manteca office. We will continue care at the Tracy office, where the staff has consistently demonstrated professionalism, clear communication, and kindness.

New office in Manteca, but he has stellar reviews in Tracy. Very professional and nice dentist! My son got his braces 5 months ago and it’s been a terrific experience! Every time I go, the staff know the kiddos by name and are gentle with them while explaining what is going on. I had braces as an adult and wished I had gone with Dr. Hu instead!

My daughter just got her braces off today and we had a wonderful experience at new smile. We started the process under a different orthodontist but felt very taken care of under Dr. Hu. The staff is exceptional from the front desk to hygienist to office manager. Thank you!

We are so thankful to Dr. Hu and all the staff of New Smile Orthodontics. It has been a great experience for my two teenagers. Since the first consultation, Dr Hu was very helpful and explain in great detail every step of their treatment. My daughter got her braces on at 10 (had all her adult teeth early). She is now almost 12 and got them removed. The process was straightforward and everything went as planned. My daughter has a beautiful smile and we are excited that she won’t have them on in high school. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.Highly recommend New Smile!

Love the whole team. I had my braces on for a little over 2 years. Any time I had a pokey wire or needed anything , they would not hesitate to help. Now that my braces are off I’m kinda sad that I won’t see them all the time. Highly recommend!!

I loved it here, everyone is nice and down to earth. My oldest son had braces for seven years at this Manteca location, that’s why I chose them. I can be particular about certain things with my teeth and they always listened to any questions or concerns I had with patience and smiles. My middle son will also be getting his braces here 🙂
