Lynchburg Dental Group

Since Brady and Crist switched to Lynchburg Dental Group my experience has not been favorable. Appointments take longer, and today when the hygienist was done with my cleaning at my eight o’clock appointment by about 8:10, she informed me that there was only one dentist working and he didn’t usually come in until nine!!! I have to wait until he gets here for a check up that will probably take about five minutes! I informed her that I had another appointment scheduled and may need to leave before he arrives and all she could offer was " well, he has an appointment with me at nine, so he should be here before then." Not happy.

I had been going to Brady and Crist without any issues. Now that ownership has changed I got the hard sell on an expensive set of xrays. When I politely declined, the nurse called the doctor and he started giving me the sales pitch. When I said no he said that I needed to find another dentist. Couldn’t believe it. I think this has turned into a business that is trying to wring every dime out of patients. They also push their prepayment plans…another sign.

I joined Brady and Crist about a month ago as one of their dentists. It's been a great experience! The owners and managers of the office are super down to earth and very nice and helpful. Very easy-going. There are three other dentists here besides myself and they all have different personalities and different skills and they've all been very friendly and helpful as I've joined the team. The same goes for the several hygienists in the office. They are each unique and they are all friendly. It's been great working with them. The front desk and administrative team, also. I was naturally a little nervous when I joined the office, but all those fears have been totally unfounded. I'm looking forward to my time here. One thing I'm looking forward to most is adding my own personality and skills. I love doing dental implants and cosmetic dentistry, and in previous offices, they've not been encouraging or helpful with me doing them, while the Crists have been very encouraging to do more of it here. I'm excited to stay for a long time.

Today I had to call and cancel an appointment. I was on speakerphone in my office. Cary answered the phone and was so gracious and helpful. The reason I had to cancel was due to surgery. She wished me luck before closing the call. After Ending the call, my 12yo son yells out, "she has excellent customer service". He is correct, so I figured I would share. Their entire staff is always friendly and upbeat which just makes the visits more positive!

It's a good place and they do a good job but if you try to reschedule an appointment a month at advance. They can't do it unless they scheduled you out a month later from your original appointment because they have no opens spots or cancellations? the company should work on improving in flexibility and availability to meet patients needs and improve their patient care and services.

I have recently returned to the area and this is BY FAR the best experience I have ever had in a dental setting. From the initial phone call appointment and welcome in reception area, to the warm, patient, diligent dental hygienist and finally, to the informative completion and professionalism with the dentist, I am beyond pleased. I never have to wait for my appointments- they're always ready to go when I get there which is nice because my appointments are usually during my lunch break. Friendly and professional service. Nice, clean facilities. I've been a patient here for 2-3 years and I'm always happy with the care I receive.
