Pediatric Dental Specialists

I have 4 kids who are patients here and they all LOVE not only the atmosphere, but the incredible staff too! I never hear any whining when I say "it’s time to see the dentist!" They look forward to seeing familiar faces each time who treat them with slushies and a coin for the toy tower. My son had an emergency late one Saturday night and I was able to easily get ahold of one of the orthodontists immediately. She met us out in Leawood so quickly and saved his permanent teeth. They’re simply amazing!

The office was very friendly and welcoming, and the decor was absolutely adorable, so fun and inviting for kids. My son especially loved the cookie dough flavor to clean his teeth and getting a coin to pick out a toy after his appointment, which made the whole experience exciting for him. They even offered special iced drinks, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend for families!

The staff is incredible with our kids and works hard to help our daughter with special needs feel comfortable during processes that are sometimes overwhelming for her. We have been very satisfied every time we visit.

I took my 2 year old here for his first dental visit. The waiting area was clean, and I had no worries as he enjoyed the various activities in the waiting area. The dinosaur theme is immersive, and kept him engaged enough to tolerate short waits after being taken back. The hygienist who cleaned his teeth was quick, efficient, engaging, and taught me how to floss his teeth. The dentist was kind and respectful, but also clear about what I could do better to support his dental health. Upon check-out they had already checked my insurance so I knew the cost of elective additional dental care should I choose to pursue it. I highly recommend Pediatric Dental Specialists!

Awful experience. Terrible transparency with pricing. Very rude dentist. Condescending and incredibly frustrating to work with. Highly health literate parents and still was very very rude. Will not be returning. Very frustrating!

Wonderful experience. Communicative and open and honest. When we had both kids half hour apart, they worked with us to get them done simultaneously. Wonderful group!

We certainly will not be coming back. The procedure my daughter received was okay and I looked past some of the bedside mannerism and lack of education for post procedure. My issues are mainly with the billing department or lack thereof. Being told information and I assumed that my benefits were checked prior to, and then receiving a surprise $100 bill is a little frustrating. I am very aware of my dental benefits, had I known that things weren’t checked accordingly I would not have agreed to some imaging. I also called to speak with someone in the billing department, however often no one answers the phone live and it took about 1-2 months for someone to check with their manager before calling me back. So I’ve received two statements and now an added fee for being "late" when in actuality it’s due to lack of communication on the offices end.
