My hygienist Lianny is extremely knowledgeable, and she understands the needs of individuals like me who have a fear of the dentist. She takes her time and uses techniques that make the experience manageable.

Every time I come here it has been such a joy. I’m so glad I found this office! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiling faces, kindness, and professionalism at the front desk. Every hygienist I had made me feel comfortable to be in their chair. Dr. Nixon answered all my questions thoroughly and made me know I found the best place to have my oral health take care of. Everyone here seems to love their job which makes the visits always so pleasant!

I've been with Jacksonville Family Dentistry for several years. I have always been very happy with and recommend them. When my former dentist retired and sold his practice, that new office began to feel as though doing more procedures, billing insurance, and making more money was their new path. Then Jacksonville Family Dentistry was recommended to me. It was a return to the standard I was used to; personalized care, professionalism, friendly faces. I have been with them ever since. Just yesterday I had a minor dental emergency and was able to be seen same day. This is why I recommend them, have no plans to leave their practice, and finally post this long overdue review.

My wife and I recently relocated to Jacksonville. One of the worst aspects of moving is the task of finding new doctors, dentists, mechanics and so on. Unfortunately, we have had a fair share of bad luck over the years with dentists. So many (especially the corporate-owned dental entities) are all about maximizing the bottom line. Well, I am happy to report that our initial experience (routine check-up and cleaning) with Jacksonville Family Dentistry was exemplary. In our opinion, the many favorable reviews are well-deserved. Booking appointments was easy and both of the women at the front desk were quick to assist us, upbeat and polite. My wife told me that she was very pleased with her dentist (Dr. Nixon) and hygienist (Marina). As for me, I saw Dr. Nixon and my hygienist was Lianny. Both were very friendly and were genuinely interested in answering all of my questions in an unrushed manner. I appreciated their expertise and guidance. I have had many teeth cleanings over 60+ years, and Lianny's attention to detail was one of the best. Oh, and nobody pressued us on services or products we did not need!

I had a frustrating and confusing experience with this dental office. I first visited for an issue with a newly installed crown from another practice. They asked me to return in a month because it was a recently installed crown. and I was suggested a full checkup at my follow-up appointment. And I said only if my insurance covers it. Meanwhile they called and confirmed that my insurance fully covers the check up. When I came back a month later, they asked me to pay a $75 deductible upfront without any prior notice. After paying, I explained to the doctor that the crown was still causing problems. The doctor proceeded with the checkup, but at the end of the visit, they gave me a treatment plan for other issues and did not address the crown problem I was there for. I am confused and unhappy that my actual issue was never even mentioned in the treatment plan.

Such a great group of ladies. Sarah is so unbelievably genuine when you first walk in till the time you leave. Dr Nixon is amazing to everyone she works with and all the hygienists are equally as awesome. Most doctor’s offices will smile in your face and then talk behind your back. Not here. Every single wonderful lady in this office is genuinely nice and incredible. This is rare to see nowadays. This is a direct result of great leadership. When your boss treats you right and the workplace you work in is amazing, that results in better customer service because your employees are genuinely happy to come to work. Well done Dr Nixon, you are leading an amazing team the right way and it shows. Never chance this formula because it WORKS
