I come from the dental field and I still get my nerves going when it comes to getting my own treatment. I can confidently say that the team here at Federal Way Modern Dentistry hits the mark when it comes to professionalism and comfortability. Walking in and being greeted by Erin and Lindsey gives the peace of mind that everything on the billing side is taken care of and brings no stress, no worries, and lets you just focus on the next steps. You can feel that this is a well tuned office. The assistants have solid communication between each-other, ensuring that when the dentist comes in, the whole focus is present and locked in. Dr. Ahn is a blessing. She checks on you to make sure you’re staying comfortable throughout the procedure and you can feel that she actually cares about your wellbeing and the experience you have while being treated. Her assistants Daisha and Aileen are seasoned, polished, and have a comforting presence, making anyone feel good about being in the chair. No gimmicks, no games, no what ifs. If you’re looking for a place that brings consistent and tailored dental care. This is the place to be. I’m always anxious 😬 every time I have a dentist appointment but Jen was so professional, warm & helpful to calm me down. I’m thinking now to switch all my dentist appointments to Modern Dentistry in Federal Way because of how Jen handled me. Very happy customer here. Thank you Jen 😌

My new favorite dental clinic! Had to find an in-network clinic for my MetLife insurance and glad I came here. From the receptionists to staff, specifically Kim, they are all so kind and helpful. I first saw Dr. Ahn and she was personable and gentle with my teeth, and actually caught the "cracks" of my cavity fillings when my last clinic who I saw just 6 months prior did not notice them at all. My cavity "refilling" was done by Dr. Masand who was also very gentle on my teeth and so nice. I was traumatized by the first time I got said filling because I felt pain so I was nervous for this, but genuinely only felt a minor pinch and it was smooth sailing. I also love that they are open on the weekends because my regular business hour job would never allow me to visit. Overall very glad I found this clinic and hope to stay with them for a long time!

I am extremely happy with Federal Way modern dentistry. I've had some periodontal work done there as well as a recent crown. Dr. Mau his assistant Jackie are fantastic. They make sure I am comfortable and I know exactly what is being done and why. I highly recommend this office.

I feel so blessed. I have been embarrassed to smile for so long. My insurance finally started on 12-1-2025. I called Federal Way Modern Dentistry. Samantha was so helpful and kind when I called for an appointment. I was able to be seen this morning at 10. I met Jackie. She made me feel safe and slowly I was comfortable to take out my ugly broken partial. Jackie just happened to be on loan from the Auburn location. Such a gift for me. Dr. Ahn popped in to say hi and I didn’t want her to see my ugly mouth either. Both women were incredible and we came up with a plan that fit my budget. Jackie created a beautiful temporary for me and Dr. Ahn began creating my new permanent smile. I left around 2 pm and went back at 6pm to have my new bridge put in. Wow no more ugly broken partial. My smile is beautiful again ❤️ THANK YOU!

I had a great experience at Federal Way Modern Dentistry. The scheduling was straightforward and the receptionist was polite and helpful. They sent out reminders, which were appreciated. I was seen promptly after arriving. Dr Mau was personable and professional. I appreciated his good listening skills and kind spirit. Kris the dental assistant was upbeat, engaging and very professional, proficient and informative. Highly recommended!
