After going to the same local dentist for six years until they retired, my husband and I just had our first visit here for a routine exam and cleaning. The receptionist, X-Ray nurse, hygienist and dentist were all super friendly and very professional. The place and equipment looks nice and clean. We felt we were in very good hands.

Absolutely wonderful experience and staff! I have major anxiety about dental work, and they made feel so at ease. They were professional and didn’t waste anytime. Dr. Gordon did a beautiful job and couldn’t recommend enough. I can’t thank them enough for such a positive experience!

Don’t let the nondescript store front fool you. Behind these doors is the finest dental practice in Evanston—chock full with top notch dentists and dental hygienists. The Doctors Gordon (father & son) have always gone above and beyond for me and my family for decades! Highly recommended.

I was a client at North Shore Dental for over a year. The hygienist and dentist were very professional, efficient, welcoming and kind, and I highly recommend them. My less-than-positive review comes from the multiple racial slights I've received from the receptionist (Pat). I hope she'll get some training in cultural competency. Every time I read my full name out to her over the phone, she'd let out a loud exasperated sigh while she struggles to enter it into the office database. I'm not one to complain, as we've all experienced challenges and mistakes when handling cultural differences, but I can't help but feel slighted by how she's repeatedly treated my name like a problem. I've never encountered this attitude from anybody who's had trouble spelling my name—I have an ethnic Asian name, but it is very short, and I've made it a habit to spell it out over the phone to assist others with it. Then when she called me about how her email to send out my files didn't go through because of a spelling error, she tried to correct my spelling of "global", and said, very confidently, that it is supposed to be spelled as "G-L-O-B-L-E" (?!). She seems to assume I don't know proper English, even though I've spoken to her fluently with barely an accent. She only believed me after I told her that I was reading off of the email handle I saw onscreen.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gordon at North Shore Dental for over 10 years. Dr. Bill is straightforward and always gives honest recommendations—there’s never any upselling or unnecessary treatments, like some other cooperate dental offices in the area I've heard about. Dr Bill and his main assistant (Lissette) are also great at putting you at ease, which makes a trip to the dentist a lot less stressful. The staff is friendly and efficient, I'm always seen on time, and I totally feel comfortable here with both hygienists Tami and Jill who take care of me and my teeth!! Thank you NSD!

The vogue in dentistry today seems to be to treat your patients as customers, attracting them with upscale decor, spamming their email with services they don't need, and relentlessly advertising to them while there. After suffering several of these expensive "dental spas," I wanted a practice whose dentists acted like actual medical practitioners, not salespersons. I found it here. Dr. Gordon and staff are very experienced, provide excellent, efficient, and affordable care, and treat their patients as medical professionals should. No tacky ads, no pushing unnecessary services on you. The office looks non-descript from the street, and inside like it's straight out of your childhood. Accept no substitutes.

I love it here; the staff is very kind and helpful. Both Dr. Michael Gordon and Dr. William Gordon are excellent clinicians and their bedside manner makes me feel at ease every visit. Both dentists are super conservative in their treatment plans, only recommending work that is necessary. My entire family and I have been patients here for years. We’ve seen both Tami and Jill for our hygiene visits and they both are efficient, attentive, and kind to us! I would highly recommend this dental office to anybody looking for one!
