Dr. Phillip J. Martini

Dr Martini himself is ok. A little weird but he did ok with treatment. The problem I had was with his staff. I called his office to ask for detail cost for retainers before making an appointment and she consulted my insurance company and said they accept my insurance and an estimate of around $500. However, in the end they charged me 1000$!!!! For comparison, my other kid gets her retainers for 350$ from another dentist at exact same time! I paid but you don’t have to pay!

Had a really bad toothache and a dentist told me I needed to get it out immediately. Called Dr. Martini because he performs surgery as well and his staff got me in the schedule ASAP. Dr. Martini took a look and said I didn’t need it removed — the pain would subside. Days later, it did and he saved me from a painful procedure. Went back for fillings and he was so quick and so reassuring. His staff are also very kind. Very good experience, highly recommend!

I've been seeing Dr. Martini for at least 5 years and he & the techs (shout-out to Mia!) & receptionist are truly the best I've ever had the pleasure to be a patient of. I'm very prone to tooth problems, which has resulted in several urgent situations, and Dr. Martini has always been quick to respond and schedule me in ASAP to resolve it. What really puts them above the rest is how much they genuinely care about their patients. When I came in for just my second-ever appointment, everyone remembered my name and all the small details I dropped in conversation during my first appointment. I've had doctors I've seen for over a DECADE who had never shown that level of attentiveness. Also, they're always super communicative before, during, and after procedures. I really appreciate knowing what's being done and why. For people who feel a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist, I think this could help a lot; and if you need to take a break for any reason, they are incredibly mindful of that. I only wish they were in the city so it wasn't such a trek for me to see them now. But honestly, I'd rather spend 45 min on the L to be able to keep going here, that's how great they all are!!

I started visiting dr Martini in 2013. I have a lot of fillings some more than 15 years old and Dr Martini has been carefully helping me keep these teeth in my mouth. I don't feel judged when I come to his office which I used to feel when visiting some other dentists. He is very detail oriented and even moisturizes the side of your mouth with a lip balm to make the time in the dentist chair more comfortable. I have recommended him to my husband, my mother, and now both of my kids also go to him. He recommended a less aggressive procedure for my son because of his age and this has further cemented my trust in his care.

Went to Dr Martini, because of a filling that had fallen out. He took x-rays, and photos of my teeth. He told me I needed to probably have a root canal on that specific tooth, in addition to a crown. I did not like his demeanor. He was a very insecure man, who came off too arrogant for my taste, and for me to trust as my dentist. Went back to pick up the x-rays he took, to bring to another dentist for a second opinion, and asked for the photos Dr. Martini took, and he said that I couldn't have them. I said they are part of my dental history, and he said yes, but that he had spent $5,000 on the photos. Really???? Did Annie Leibowitz fly in from her Vanity Fair shoots to take pics of my teeth? I think not. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WITH ANY SENSE TO EVER VISIT DR MARTINI FOR ANY DENTAL WORK.

Best dentist I've ever had. Dr. Martini is thorough, taking his time knowing you will be living with the results of his actions.

Dr.Martini and his staff are wonderful. Dr Martini is kind, intelligent, and prompt. I like the fact that I am not scared to go to the dentist anymore.
