May Valley Dental Center

I hadn’t been here in 4 years bc I’m a DA in Newport and get cleanings for free. I still wanted to take advantage of my dental insurance benefits so I decided to come back here since they were also amazing before and it’s close by. My appointment was at 3pm , it was 3:50pm and I was still waiting in the lobby so I got up and asked how much longer and they immediately took me in. The girl taking my x-rays was so nice and gentle. The hygienist was the worst! Most painful and fastest cleaning I’ve ever had in my life, it was about 20 minutes with exam included. Usually my cleanings are about an hour +exam. Mind you the Dentist and the hygienist from my job didn’t mention anything about my gums being unhealthy. This hygienist said my gums were super unhealthy, which I know they were not. My gums felt like they were being sliced with the cavitron, she was also moving my head so roughly. I’m getting my wisdom tooth removed here soon, which I’m fine with because the dentist and the DA’s are amazing at their jobs. I just know I’m never coming back for cleanings. Lesson learned, only sticking to my office after this.

It is always a satisfaction to visit with Dr. May Thet Naing and her team, May Valley Dental Center. First impression is excellent. She did outstanding work and her team is very professional. Dr. Naing is very compassionate, warmly caring and very friendly which feel comfortable for everyone including kids and elders. Her smile makes my day. Clinic is so clean, grand and technology is advance. Waiting time is less than 10 minutes. Big parking lots and bus stops are near by. Whenever I go, I get excellent quality service each time which I never get it before from others.

This place doesn't open until 10am. Many times I have called this week during business hours with no answer. I've been waiting for 2.5 weeks for authorization for a root canal they said they needed from Denti-Cal for my child. I called Denti-cal today, and they said children under 21 do not need authorization, because it is automatically covered. 2.5 weeks of wasted time when we need treatment to be cleared for my child to get braces at our next week appointment. I initially thought they took good care of me 3 weeks ago when they did my root canal and crown, I paid out of pocket for. If they don't rectify the situation today, we're going elsewhere!

My experience here was GREAT .This Dentist had made it possible for me to SMILE AGAIN...Her work is EXCELLENT so professional She is Gentle & So Caring . The staff is so friendly I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Dentist 💯

The Dental assistants are friendly and the dentist is very good at what she does. This review has been modified from my previous review.

I cannot recommend this place to anyone honestly, this dentist is very quick n harsh! Worst dentist I’ve had in a long time!
