Leaving them only because I moved far away, but for a while I was commuting an hour just to go to Dr Tarasenko! Great dentist, super friendly and professional, can’t recommend enough. Scheduling was always super easy as well and they were flexible for last-minute emergencies.

My first visit to Dr. Tarasenko was a pleasant experience. My dental hygienist Sylwia gave me a very thorough dental cleaning. The Gowanus Dental clinic has the latest modern dental equipment and the staff are very helpful and friendly.I also had two fillings done on my molars by Dr. Tarensko today. He was very fast and efficient. He's very experienced and I trust his skills. Cool guy too. Nice free swag.

I was incredibly impressed by the team at Gowanus Dental. For a year, I was aware of them from being involved in the 8th Street Block Association and had heard only positive things. Over the summer, I had ongoing mild tooth pain in a molar with a filling that had popped out, but I didn't address it because I am afraid of dentists and go to the dentist on an as-absolutely-necessary basis. (The first time I had a cavity filled, I felt way more than I should have and am lightly traumatized by the experience). One night in September, my tooth suddenly became a source of 9/10 pain; I couldn't think straight it was so painful. The next morning, it was clear I needed emergency dental work. I called Gowanus Dental, and despite that I was not a current patient, they saw me immediately (as in, within 20 minutes, and that was the time it took me to get out the door). I was incredibly nervous and acted very skittish, and their staff was so warm and kind to me. Dr. Tarasenko was wonderful. He told me I wouldn't feel a thing, and I didn't believe him, but he was right: I didn't feel a thing. The tooth was out within 40 minutes of arriving and within an hour of calling them! They even texted me the next day-- a Saturday!-- to make sure I was doing well. I am now considerably less afraid of dentists. Three cheers to Gowanus Dental.

I started going to Dr. Tarasenko on the recommendation of my wife and entire friend group and loved the experience as much as they did. Everyone at the office is great, it's clean and modern, and Dr. Tarasenko is clear and honest (he's never pushed for me to have work done, even when others in the area had). In fact, he spotted a noteworthy sinus problem in one of my X-rays and referred me to a great ENT. I highly recommend making him your dentist!

I've been a client at Gowanus Dental for over a year, and every visit has been a great experience. The office is always spotless, the staff is friendly and professional, and the service is excellent. I really appreciate that they focus on what’s necessary for my dental health without pushing expensive procedures. Highly recommend!

I had a horrific experience here at Gowanas Dental and it was clear to me the reason I was treated so poorly was due to fact that did not at this time wish to spend $20,000 on implants that was suggested to me every single time I went there, I went in for a cavity and the next thing I know is dentist comes in and says to me you need implants and if you don’t get them your in trouble and you can’t come to me only when you have dental issues and the next thing I know he is injected me with 3 needles in very quick succession and my heart started to race incredibly fast and I became sick to my stomach and so dizzy I almost fainted tye next thing I know is he ripping my tooth out so aggressively it was so disturbing and so aggressive it was scary and unsettling , he is very money hungry and if you do not spend what he wants you to spend like $20,000 dollar procedures then he is mean, hostile & vindictive, he did this to me not only once but twice, this last episode I thought I was going to end up in hospital at his noncaring hands, will not give him another opportunity to do this to me or anyone else ever again. He is a money hungry bully who will instill fear & hostility to you if you do not spend thousands of dollars with him for cosmetic purposes .. in my opinion he is the reason people are fearful of dentists !!!

I’ve been going here for a few years, I think. Dr. Tarasenko and his team are really good. I come here for regular cleanings. But one time, I was injured in a fall, and Dr. Tarasenko fit me in same day. He gave me personal attention when it was clear this was the end of the day. It’s hard to find a good dentist, and one that you trust. I highly recommend this practice.
