Idaho Family Dental-Dr. Anna Budolfson, DMD

I have had a lot of dental work done here at Idaho Family Dental with Dr. Budolfson. I have had to have what I refer to as 'factory dental offices' work on my teeth as some of the compannies I have worked for only offered that type of plan. You know, the 'Big Names', you can figure that out on your own! I came to realize that I felt like it was more important to get me in and out as quickly as possible. It dawned on me that the more patients these dental mills get through, the more profitable it is to the share holders. I had a lot of issues because I understand that Dr. Budolfson was faced with fixing the messes that the dental mills had created as my 'fixed' teeth needed reworking and fixing. Dr. Budolfson being an independent dentist took the the time to explain everything that was being done and why. She took the time to do the job right whether it took more time or not. My gums were diseased and she has helped get them to stop bleeding. Fixed badly done crowns and help me make choices that were best for me, not share holders. She even went as far as to save a questionable tooth that would have been a tough one to lose. When I was a young boy, we had a family dentist. I feel like I have that again with Idaho Family Dental in the care of Dr. Anna Budolfson! Thank you so much!

Dr Budolfson is amazing. Brandy, Selena and every hygienist I have dealt with has been amazing. I have read some of the not so flattering reviews about this office and I just don't see this on my visits. I come in smiling and I leave smiling. There have been a few times I wasn't very happy coming in due to work but I left smiling and in a better mood. They are just nice people and I feel like they just enjoy their jobs and it shows in the service that I get everytime I walk in. I will continue to come here as long as I have teeth. Maybe even if I don't who knows. They are truly nice people and good at what they do. They deserve a chance if you are looking for a great experience with a Dentist and her staff .

I left this same review in the business listing as well: Dr. Anna and her staff run a great office and business. I’ve always been greeted with a smile and warm hellos. And they do great work in cleaning and fixing any issues. I’ve never felt any pressure to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with. And Dr. Anna is so very polite and is always talking and walking through what she is doing. Don’t hesitate to see her and her staff if you need a dentist. She’s the best.

In less than a year, I have had to deal with 4 different front desk people, one of which has a review posted for the office.) We always paid what was quoted to us at the time of service. I was told I needed 2 crowns and a filling, but I couldn't get scheduled until July?!? Or I could come in multiple times for each appointment. Who wants to waste their time and be injected extra times? I explained that was not satisfactory for how I like to maintain my mouth, and I would find another dentist to do the work. When I saw the other dentist, he disagreed with her assessment and he fixed a filling on March 11th. I have not heard anything from their office, but I found out today that we owe $40 and they will send us to collections. They have been texting my husband, but we haven't seen an actual invoice. Nothing via mail or Email. You can't pay on their website either. He asked for the Dr. to call him and she couldn't be bothered. She just sent a text. Very unprofessional. She just lost a family of 4 due to poor communication skills and a lack of respect for her patients.

The worst scheduling. Reminded me a lot of the airline services. It was very common to get phone calls and text messages asking to move my appointments that I had already scheduled time off work for. One time they moved my appointment ahead 20 minutes of the original scheduled time (that I schedule PTO for) for their convenience and just notified me via text message. When I asked why they would do that without asking me, they said "its just 20 minutes". That should sum it up for you. There are much better options in the area.

I use to go here. I had hygienists treat me very poorly. Just bad attitudes. Then there is I believe Marcy at the front desk. She is very unprofessional when it comes to appointments. She would become upset when I would need to cancel in advance. My mother is also finding a new dentist because of Marcy. My mother has had health problems. Always called in advance to change the appointments. Marcy then gets a very bad attitude and is being VERY unprofessional on the phone calls. However, the actual dentist is amazing! Just needs a better team.

Been treated by Dr Anna since 2018 and never had any issues until recently. I ended up with a head injury in July and had to reschedule my appointment and in November I had bronchitis and had to reschedule. Not like I could go in as sick as I was and non stop coughing. Made an appointment for 12:30pm during my lunch break which worked perfectly with my busy schedule and was told today by Marcy that I can only be seen now at 4pm and no earlier, I tried telling her that 12:30pm works great since it's during my lunch and my office is literally 3 minutes a way. She refused to let me keep my appointment so I let her know I would be finding a new dentist which I already have done.
