Amazing, the best dentist I’ve ever had. I have a lot of anxiety because of extensive dental work and trauma when I was younger. Dr Ballard is professional, caring and does excellent work. I look forward to seeing her and getting my teeth cleaned! She also is the first dentist in my entire life who actually taught me correct brushing technique, this was a few years ago. Every dental professional I’ve seen since has noticed. Very happy and I highly recommend.

Dr Ballard is sent from heaven! Her and her staff has been caring for my family for almost 20 years and Im throughly impressed with her level of knowledge, compassuon and technique. She also has excellent contacts and colleagues to refer a patient to if needed. She is excellent and I'd give her 100 stars if possible!

Doctor Ballard is a gem. I have dental anxiety and had gone almost a decade without a dentist before Dr Ballard. Her bedside manner is so calming and fun. She’s a really great dentist but also a wonderful person. Their office can be a little tricky to get ahold of sometimes- most the time they can’t answer the phone when you call but leave a message and they’ll call you back within 20 minutes so just stay close to the phone. Highly recommend Dr Ballard!

I've been a patient of Dr. Ballard for over 20 years, ever since I moved to Oakland. Throughout this time, she has consistently treated me with exceptional care and respect. As someone who identifies as gender fluid/queer, I can confidently say that Dr. Ballard is incredibly LGBTQ+ friendly. When I changed my name and pronouns, she adapted seamlessly, making me feel comfortable and respected. I have a significant fear of dental work, but Dr. Ballard has little tricks to help ease my anxiety and make the experience more manageable. Her techniques have been incredibly effective in reducing my fears, allowing her to perform her work efficiently. Dr. Ballard also has a fantastic network of specialists for referrals. Recently, I had a scare with my front teeth, and she promptly referred me to a specialist who was ready to perform a root canal if necessary (thankfully, it wasn’t needed). If you’re looking for a dentist in the East Bay, I highly recommend Dr. Ballard. You won’t regret it!

Dr Ballard is fantastic!! She genuinely cares about your well being and will suggest dental work that best works for you. She will NOT recommend unnecessary work. During the holidays when she was a little understaffed, she was able to take care of my teeth cleaning and examination all herself. She has a steady hand and was painless with the cleaning. Dr Ballard is great!

Dr. Ballard is a wonderful, sweet, no frills dentist who I just recently transferred my dental care to. I went in for a Saturday appointment (woohoo!) and she greeted me herself, did the cleaning, and had me out the door within a half hour. She was gentle during the cleaning, incredibly kind, and for someone who doesn't love the dentist, (I mean, who does?), I had about the best possible experience. I would absolutely recommend her and I look forward to seeing her again.
