Dr. Simarjit Singh

I just moved to the East Bay and needed to find a new dentist. I went to another dental clinic first in February, and they quoted me $6K in treatment plans, which was outrageous. I've always kept up with my dental cleanings and exams twice a year when I lived in SF, and my previous dentist never recommended anywhere near that amount of work. So I was shocked! To make things worse, they asked me to pay $2k upfront in exchange for a 7% discount. That was the moment I decided I needed a second opinion. I did some online research, and that's how I found Dr. Singh. I explained my situation to him, and he was willing to take a look. I showed him the treatment plan from the previous clinic, and he thoroughly evaluated it alongside my teeth, taking X-rays and carefully working through each item on the list to understand whether the recommended treatments were actually necessary. We went through the entire plan together, tooth by tooth. At the end of my visit, Dr. Singh did not recommend a single item from that plan. He told me those treatments were not needed right now, that my teeth were fine, and that I was overall in really good health. He simply prescribed me a fluoride toothpaste, and that was it! Dr. Singh is knowledgeable, kind, gentle, and he won't hard sell or push unnecessary, expensive treatments on you.

Dr. Rupjit Singh (son of Simarjit) is the dentist I wish I could have my whole life. I’ve never walked away from a checkup with cleaner and whiter teeth. He’s extremely thorough and has a high attention to detail - he’s putting in as much time is required to give you the highest quality of care, not rushing you to cram in more patients into the day. He’s a great communicator, walking me through each step of the procedure and provided helpful explanations with studies cited which made me feel less anxious. I actually learned new things that I can apply to my daily care that no other dentist has told me before! Just a heads up, your first appointment may take longer than you’re used to with others because of how thorough he is but follow-up visits should be faster (but I also asked a lot of questions and had some stubborn hard plaque).

An excellent dentist. It is a small practice with just Dr. Singh and her admin assistant. They are both so nice and welcoming. Dr. Singh does all the cleaning and dental procedures. I've always trusted her recommendations and never felt that she was trying to sell more dental procedures than necessary. Highly recommend.

Dr. Singh is my favorite dentist ever!!! She's not here to get money from you. She truly cares and very reasonable about everything. She would never tell you to have a procedure that you don't really need just to get insurance money out of you! I just love her. She's been my dentist since 2018. I'm a travel nurse. I've been to Sacramento and still drive over 2 hours just to see her. And now, I'm in Menlo Park and still saw her today coz I just can't replace her. THANKS DR. SINGH! You are the best! Dr. Singh is EXCELLENT. I was originally visiting another office nearby, but they told me that I need a crown for my cavity (for a cavity that doesn't look that big-- I had bigger ones before) and was charging me more than I needed to pay. I visited Dr. Singh and she told me that she can fix it with just a normal filling and she did it today, saving me a thousand dollars. Not to mention that she was really careful and didn't chip away more teeth than necessary. The best dentist I have had so far and will recommend to anyone. She's exceptionally understanding of students' plight so she gives discounts to students. On top of that, she gives really good advice of how to take care of your dental health.

Highly recommend! Dr Singh is very personable (she does the cleanings herself), kind, and professional. Prices for extra cleanings are very reasonable as well.

Dr. Simarjit is a wonderful dentist. She and her assistant make up a small practice in downtown Berkeley. She's friendly, focused, and gets work done well. I've never had a problem with her and will continue to visit her practice.
