Mirror Pond Dental

Dr. McNaughton is one of the best dentists I've ever had. She's nice, personable, and very accommodating. I had a procedure planned in June but an emergency came up and she was able to get me in the same day to help me out. I have read other folks' frustrated reviews and can only offer others this helpful hint: It takes a while for the office to get full approval from your insurance provider for the full scheduled procedure. That's why they set your appointment a few months out. Dentists are people, too, who happen to have their own emergencies, of which you are not entitled to know the details.

Their new Chandler office is spacious and modern, lots of parking. The receptionist at that location is awesome, squeezed in a cleaning and 2 fillings for me before I had to leave on a big trip overseas. The dental hygienist Jen is a Rockstar, so friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Guy did my fillings and made me feel so at ease, even though I have anxiety around dental procedures. I am very impressed with this office!

I usually have really terrible dental anxiety and have had many problems with my teeth, causing it to be even harder to get myself into the dentist. But I wanted to share how amazing and kind the dentist and assistants In the back have been through out these last few months. They have been very encouraging, havnt made me feel terrible about my lack of dental hygiene, but more so we're excited to help get my smile back and the confidence that came with it. I was excited to go in on my appointments because I knew I wouldn't have the anxiety that I usually do going into procedures. They are so sweet and friendly and seem to really enjoy what they do. I am moving now and am super bummed that I won't be going to this office any longer. They truely made it so comfortable and helped me tremendously with a lot of my dental problems. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, esspecially if you have a hard time initially getting yourself into the dentist!

My parents and I go to Hallie for dentistry. She has done implants that turned out perfect. The office is very accommodating to me with my wheelchair and service dog. The hygienists are very friendly, gentle but thorough and helpful. We have had nothing but a great experience. She is a stellar dentist and person.

Have been trying to get my step son in for a simple check up. He's on Pacific source and apparently the lowest on the priority list. As he's been rescheduled 3 times over 6 months. I don't even understand why they accept OHP patients if they treat them so poorly. We have an appointment tomorrow. So I'm hoping they haven't filled our appointment to a cash paying patient. If I could rate them 0 stars I would.

After writing this review, one of the Dentists (Hallie) personally called me to hear about my experience and offer to make it right. I understand that sometimes things don't go as planned and that one bad experience is not necessarily indicative of the entire organization. In this case, the issue was poor communication. I was impressed that Hallie took the time to call me directly, explain the communication breakdown, and get me in for an appointment the following week. This time, I did get a confirmation call the day before my appointment reminding me of the time. When I showed up, there was some new patient paperwork to fill out, but I didn't wait very long. Everyone I interacted with from the assistant to the dentist to the dental hygienist was friendly and professional. Hallie in particular seems to really care about her patients. This could have just remained a bad experience, but Hallie's response to the situation turned it into a good one. Finding a good dentist/doctor/etc is hard enough. I am so relieved my search is over! Highlights in general: - Clean and Comfortable - Everything was explained to me as they were doing it (never had this before, now I know what they are talking about when they poke my gums and say numbers!) - They seemed conscious of cost and let me know what might not be covered by my health insurance - They were respectful of my preference for fewer x-rays ----------- Original review We will never know... I scheduled an appointment with Mirror Pond as a new patient a few months ago. The earliest they could get me in was over a month out. Okay, a little annoying, but that's fine. After the appointment is set, I don't get any sort of confirmation or reminder as the date gets closer. A few days before my appointment, I get a call from their office saying the dentist will be out of the office and they need to reschedule me for some date a month later. They don't specify a time. I'm a little shocked that no apology or explanation came with this reschedule. I repeated the date to make sure I got it right - more than 2.5 months after I tried to schedule the original appointment? Yes. I sputtered that I could make that work. The date rolls around, and again, no phone call or email confirmation or reminder (also, I never got clarification on what time they wanted me to come into the office). Given that I was a new patient, I expected a bit more. Or anything, really. This is the absolute worst patient experience I have ever had.

If you don't have lots of money, stay away from this office. The Doctor here doesn't seem to give a damn about anyone but her, all she cares about is making money. She did sloppy work, too. I live in a tough situation, living with Autism and change is VERY difficult for me. In some ways it's like being tortured. I went in to have a filling fixed and next thing I know she's openly trying to force me into a Root Canal on a totally different tooth and was unwilling to even TRY to fix the tooth that broke, She didn't even pretend that she was going to fix it, Looking back at it, she had everything out for a root canal, NOT a filling fix like I'd asked for, There was no reason for this, she bluntly states that it's either her way, or the high way, as I've stated before, Change is VERY hard for me, yet she tried to get me to agree to rip out 4 of my last molars all at once. The teeth I use to chew, with NO way of fixing the issue I brought up, I CANNOT EAT IF I LOST THOSE TEETH, Then when I was sick and missed the appointment she dropped me as a patient! My mom told them I had strep and a fever but she still dropped me! Top it off, the fillings she's done are falling out one by one, and it's making my life hell. Now I had to establish myself with a completely new doctor, If you are considering this office and don't have lots of money, STAY AWAY, even if you DO have lots of money, stay away. This is one of the worst experiences of my life, and I don't say that lightly.
