I can’t say enough wonderful things about Edward Im and his entire practice. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with a level of care and professionalism that immediately puts you at ease. Dr. Im takes the time to truly listen and understand your concerns, and his treatment plans are thoughtful, thorough, and tailored specifically to your needs. He explains everything clearly, which made me feel confident and informed every step of the way. What stood out most to me was the genuine compassion and attention to comfort. Dental visits can be stressful, but Dr. Im and his team go above and beyond to create a calm, supportive environment. Every detail—from the friendly staff to the gentle approach during procedures—reflects how much they care about their patients’ experience. The quality of care is exceptional, and you can tell you’re in the hands of someone who is both highly skilled and deeply committed to their work. I came to Sunrise Dental in Bellevue in dire straits. My dental journey has been long and complicated and I’ve had really bad luck with dentists. I saw Dr. Do for complete mouth reconstruction and she is absolutely amazing. I can’t convey how impressed I am with her and Sunrise Dental. In all honesty, she changed my life and Im so thankful. She is extremely kind and she really cares about her patients. The staff is fantastic as well and I promise anyone reading this, you will not regret going to Sunrise Dental in Bellevue. I was super apprehensive and I sent them an email in the beginning. Dr. Im, the owner of the clinic actually responded right back to me and he was fantastic as well. He reassured me and answered, responded right back to all of my emails and answered all of my questions. Thank you so much to Dr. Do, Dr. Im, and staff for saving me.

I recently had some fillings done by Dr. Do and the results are honestly incredible. When I got home and looked in the mirror, I was floored. I actually went back to the Sunrise Dental website to read her bio again. Seeing the surgical background in Dr. Do’s credentials made it all click. She brings a surgeon’s precision and an artist’s eye to even a routine procedure. BIG THANK YOU!

Me and my children have been going to this office for a few years. I went to a few other sunrise locations but always came back to this location because of the outstanding service. This location has never tried to be sneaky with billing. They are honest and very nice. Every interaction here has always been a positive experience. My insurance is ending so I will ne taking my children to a different dentist because the cost is a better deal,but I'm happy to continue my dental care here and pay out of pocket. I definitely recommend this location. I've tried 5 other ones and this one is the best.

Dr. Im is definitely a very capable but also compassionate and friendly doctor. I don’t have many dental issues but when there is something, he makes it clear what needs to be done and even has a small camera which makes a picture of the issue, which is very helpful. No unnecessary procedures. Very trustworthy. Best dentist I ever had. Thank you!

Making this review after I got a second consult with a different dental clinic. Had a general cleaning a week ago and this was my first time at the clinic. During the cleaning I have never experienced such "odd" or humiliating treatment from a dentist before. The dentist I had immediately looked at my teeth and said "they were so bad" and that I was "definitely in need of a cleaning", which wasn’t said in a way of concern but was conveyed to me in sort of a mocking tone. She sprayed my face with water accidentally a few times and immediately just used the bib to wipe across my face without asking if it’s alright to wipe. When the hygienist or dental assistant was remarking that it was cool seeing the plaque come off the dentist chimed in and said "it’s so cool because it’s so bad right?" And the assistant just didn’t really respond and perhaps maybe felt a bit awkward on how to right in front of the patient. We took images of my teeth that the dentist told me we would go over, but after the cleaning she up and disappeared, only slight closing remarks to get fillings and then just vanished. The assistant however walked me through my photos and showed me clearly what the treatment proposed. Although I know I have had a history of poor gum health, I’ve never been flat out told something was bad so many times and in a joking tone. Went to consult with a dental clinic and they told me that the cleaning wasn’t properly done and showed me that there is still hard plaque left that needs another cleaning to remove in order to get the treatment (had the dentist check and then the hygienist consult if I needed another cleaning—they mentioned if I had a cleaning the previous week that amount of plaque buildup they saw shouldn’t be there within just one week) AVOID AVOID AVOID getting treated here where the dentists don’t even explain thoroughly the cleaning, treatment, and can even joke about your teeth health on your first time visiting the clinic. My confidence that day was definitely low after the visit especially my perception of how my teeth looked and felt. Never have done a review this bad but I guess sunrise dental (of Bellevue) is the first.

Absolutely terrible experience at Sunrise Dental. I went in for what was supposed to be just a regular cleaning, and they suddenly told me I had a cavity that needed treatment. I trusted them, paid the bill, and expected the issue to be handled professionally. Six months later, I came back for another regular cleaning, and they told me the exact same cavity was still there in the exact same spot. That makes me seriously question whether they even properly treated it the first time or if they just charged me for unnecessary work. The doctor clearly told me they would take care of it again with no charge, but when I went to check out, they suddenly hit me with a bill for more than $200. When I reminded them what the doctor said, the staff started making excuses and talking in circles instead of being honest. It felt dishonest and completely unprofessional. I take very good care of my teeth, so hearing that the same problem is still there after already paying them once makes no sense at all. It honestly feels like they care more about charging patients than actually fixing problems. The worst part was the customer service. I called afterward to explain that I was unhappy about being charged after being promised it would be free, and the receptionist sarcastically responded, "That’s great." No apology, no respect, no attempt to help — just attitude. This place made me feel misled, overcharged, and disrespected. I would never recommend Sunrise Dental to anyone.
