Dr. Tony Chen, DDS

First time at Dr. Chen’s office and I came for a cleaning on a Tuesday afternoon Highlights +no long waits! My appointment was at 4:30 and I went in a few mins after +nice staff, people were incredibly friendly + cleaning did not feel uncomfortable or hurt + they had the TV playing in the rooms to keep you distracted which was really entertaining +Dr. Chen was so nice and friendly as he came in. He checked my X-rays and explained to me my teeth condition +He did the cleaning himself and it didn’t hurt or feel uncomfortable one bit, unlike many other dentistry experiences. He checked in every now and then to check I was ok. He seemed very caring. + He listened well to my concerns, I told him my teeth was sensitive and he gifted me samples of sensodyne to help. Other staff +the guy who took my X-rays was also really nice and careful. Sometimes taking X-rays hurt bc the thing they put into your mouth is awkward shaped but this guy was very considerate. He also helped me move from scooter from one room to the next Overall, really positive experience! I found this office on Zocdoc and Dr. Chen has a ton of positive reviews there. Will be coming back here in 6 months!

I am writing after 3 negative interactions. This is more for people considering to choose this practice than for o against Modern Family. 1. We had an appointment for 3pm. We were not sen until 5.I took time off from work and no one offered as much as an apology.Just excuses. 2. The person acting as my dentist was either let go or left. Either way, she was too good of a person to be subjected to the overall tomfu*&ery of the place. The practice never let me know, never scheduled my follow ups (we had 4 things we needed to take care of). and finally 3. I arrive to the dentist to have my daughter cavity checked out before she was going on an international trip. They never told me about a co-pay. When I arrive, they say they left a message earlier that day about a copay. They refused to see her- a child with a toothache because of a 50 dollar co-pay. I go there all of the time and said Id pay next session. They said -essentially- Go F yourself - for 50 bucks. This is my F You.

Great dentist. I'm usually in and out of there quickly and painlessly for my cleanings. Friendly staff and comfortable patient rooms
