Asheville Family Dentistry

I had a crown done at Asheville Family Dentistry on Thursday March 5th 2026. The fact that the whole process could be started and completed in a two hour period (there was a 40 minute period of down time while the crown was constructed, thus my actual chair time was 80 minutes total) was amazing to me. The dentist and dental assistant explained the entire process as it went on. They were highly professional and they were reassuring throughout. I am so glad that I am a patient of Asheville Family Dentistry!!!

Everyone at the practice was very friendly. When I asked to become a patient (my wife and I had been at a different practice, but wanted to be patients where the dentists are "in-network"), there was a long wait for an initial appointment. But the practice manager was true to her word about staying on top of the cancellations list. So I ended up being seen the beginning of January, instead of in May. The dentist's exam was very thorough. And I was very impressed with the ability to photograph my teeth, and create a 3D image, in addition to the panoramic and bite wing x-rays.

Today was my new patient exam with Dr. Allison. Eve was her assistant, she was very gentle and communicated with me as she took x-rays and photos. Dr. Allison was incredibly sweet and listened to my concerns, offering reasonable options. She completed a very thorough exam and I felt very well taken care of. I'm beyond pleased with my new dental office!

This review is long overdue. I have been seeing my hygienist, Danniele, for years. She is top notch - highly skilled and professional. She approaches her work with humor and dedication, and best of all, a wealth of knowledge! Her enthusiasm for her work is evident every time I sit in her chair. Plus she is so darn funny and personable, you feel like you’re family! Thank you to Danniele and to Asheville Family Dentistry - it may sound absurd when speaking about visiting the dentist, but it’s always a pleasure!

1 start just for whoever picked up the phone at this place, if the dentists are great I wouldn't know, but get someone better answering the phone, my God, I'm stunned. I asked if I could get an appointment and she very impatiently tells me that they are no longer taking new patients, I understand, asked her if she knows of any other office that might take new people and she immediately cuts me off saying that she doesn't know, doesn't know what insurance I'm with or whatever, didn't even gave me time to process or explain, then after a second of silence she goes BYE and cuts the call. Very rude. So if you are looking for a new place,be ready for that and know exactly what you want to ask just so you don't make people work at their workplace I guess.

I love the hygienists and doctors at this practice. I feel they don't over-treat. The reason for 4 stars this time is that at this last appointment, I was caught by surprise with a huge bill for routine X-rays that are needed every 5 years. I don't have insurance, and this has a big impact on my life. I wish I had been given a heads up on the cost like they give me on treatment costs.

I had a great experience. My cleaning was professionally done. I have been going here for dental care for over 10 years and highly recommend them to anyone seeking great care.
