Dentists of Old Town Alexandria

As a long time (and very satisfied) patient of Floss and Smile, my first appointment with the new practice, Dentists of Old Town Alexandria, was very disappointing and unsettling. My concerns and complaints are very similar to those expressed in recent reviews! The hard sales pitch for a deep cleaning/scaling was so troubling and inappropriate. I left my appointment saddened that Floss and Smile is no longer in business and its exceptional dental services and its attention to patient care are not a priority for the new practice.

My husband and I visited your office for the first time and we were pleased. The entire staff was incredibly pleasant, and they took the time to answer all of our questions patiently Dr. LIM was great! We didn't feel rushed at all. We highly recommend if you're looking for a welcoming Dental Office We give them 5 STARS. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Travers

Ive been coming here since I was a kid. The people here are absolutely wonderful, incredibly kind, explain topics very thoroughly, very understanding. Ive always been scared of the dentist, they make me feel as comfortable as possible

The new office manager, Tycha, is very friendly and efficient, and is very helpful and attentive to Dr. Lim and Dr. Oh. It’s refreshing to see such a positive transformation. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dental practice that genuinely cares about its patients and is committed to providing high-quality service!

My experience at Dentist of Old Towne has been superb. I recently had an implant done and Dr O and his technician were spectacular. I highly recommend their services.

Great dentist office. I needed to get in immediately for some pain I was having a few weeks ago. Janiyah and Tycha at the front desk were so professional and sweet, and got me in that day. I came back after a few weeks of healing for a check up and cleaning. Smooth process and Dr. Oh and Dr. Lim are super efficient and lovely to work with. Thank you so much!

I will not be coming back. I've been coming to this office to see Dr. Townes for about 3 years and had always had a positive, relaxing, and quality experience. My last cleaning experience was horrendous. When I arrived there were no designated parking spots available so I parked in a spot reserved for another office. When I asked one of the 15+ people working there whether it was ok or not I was told "I don't know, but I'm sure it's fine". Very unassuring. Next I was told I needed the 360° X-ray in addition to the regular X-ray today and every 6 months per the new doctors recommendations. Next I received one of the roughest and painful cleanings I've ever had by not one, but two different technicians(maybe the first one needed to take her lunch break, idk). One of my front teeth still feels rough and damaged and when I pointed out some staining that was missed she said "oh my tool couldn't reach that",then proceeded to use said tool to clean the area, smh. After that I was seen by the new doctor that told me I needed scaling on two teeth and relayed that info to the front desk who quickly drew up a treatment plan, scheduled it, and tried to take payment from me right in the chair for around $500 that my insurance wouldn't cover. I felt pressure to sign off and schedule the appointment but I later called to cancel, and will also cancel my next cleaning as well. My wife goes to a dentist right down Duke St that she trusts so I'm just going to start going there. This last visit to Floss and Smile gave me the same icky feeling I got when I went to Tend Dentist in DC when I didn't have a regular dentist.
