Alexandria Dental Care

Please don’t get your wisdom teeth removed here. I got my procedure done here almost a year ago, and half of my tongue is still partially numb. There must be some nerve damage because I also get random sharp tingly pains in my face and teeth. I suspect that something went wrong during the procedure, because the Dr. started yelling at her assistant some time near the middle or the end — they were talking in Vietnamese, so I don’t know what was said. Before the surgery, I got an X-ray taken, but Dr. Lu did not inform me that there was a nerve close to one of my wisdom teeth — I found that out from another dentist, later. I highly regret getting the surgery, and if I had known that there was a nerve so close to my tooth, I would have at least had a chance to fully consider the risks. Finally, I hardly got any explanation during and after the procedure as to what had happened. Seeing the previous poster say that they also had a bad procedure, I felt that I had to post this.

Wonderful care and great with our entire family. Dr. Lu has been our dentist for years and we would highly recommend her and her team. About 2 years ago she saw us the same day when we had a dental emergency, which was a life saver. We can't thank her enough.

You basically have to diagnose yourself and tell her whats wrong, she doesn't ask questions or really investigate anything. Every other dentist I've had has always been proactive with my care and asked me about my dental health. I don't know if I have cavities or not since the last time I went in for a cleaning. I had no say in the last procedure I had done, I had options but she just wouldn't talk to me when I asked her about it. She just stared awkwardly until I abided and let her work. No discussion of my treatment options. Bottom line, go somewhere else. This lady doesn't want to take the time with her patients.

Dr Lu had been a wonderful dentist for myself and my husband for over 8 years. Very nice care and always willing to accommodate our schedule for appointments.

I agree with the previoius wiriters that I had a bad experience at this dentist office. The Dr. is trying to do everything herself from billing to doing dentsit work. She tried to over charge me, but when I called my inusrace she quickly reinbursed me the differece. She is insenstive to patients anxienty when they go to a dentist and she is not gentle whith her touches. She acts like she doesn't enjou being a dentist. I switched to another dentist now.

I have been very happy with dr lu for over 5 years. Recently I had a dental emergency a few hours before I was scheduled to fly out for business and dr lu saw me on short notice, a true lifesaver. A very professional and caring dentist.

My wife and I have been very happy with Dr Lu and her team for many years. We highly recommend her for anyone looking for a nice, caring and professional dentist.
