We love this place! The staff is friendly and very attentive to the children/ parents and the dental hygienist is AMAZING! He is so kind,gentle and soft spoke. Also makes sure tonthank you for bring your child in. Mine is cavity free and will continue to be! Keep up the good work Akron Smiles!

My first 2 visits went great, the concerns started once my child needed to have work done. No treatment plan or next steps were discussed with me. I assumed she would just be getting fillings. They called 2 days before the appointment to reschedule and that’s when I was informed she would be sedated and metal caps would be put on. If they had read her medical records they would known she has issues with anesthesia. Also no one had given me instructions on her not eating after midnight. The receptionist than stated that I signed documents for it, which I did not. Once she realized that I hadn’t she said she would talk to the office manager and call me back. That was April 30th, they have never called me back but rescheduled her appointment. I’ve she changed pediatric dental offices.

This place used to be great but it is slowly going downhill. Appointments are being overbooked and wait times are getting egregious. My daughter had an appointment at 10:30 and we were still waiting to be see over an hour later. The waiting area was full of people also waiting and there wasn’t even enough chairs to accommodate how they overbooked. My daughter has been coming here since she was a toddler but this may be the last time we come here based on our last two experiences. They need better planning, more staff, or something because it’s getting ridiculous.

My son receives great dental care, aged out now but still able to finish out dental treatments for his braces. I was so happy with small smiles services. Great staffing.

I have been coming here with my older daughters for a few years they are always so nice and welcoming. I just recently took my 18m old there because that’s when the dentist told me I should start bringing them in. I was nervous he doesn’t sit still often and I didn’t know what to expect. The dentist came and greeted us talked to them and told both of what he was going to do. He check and counted their teeth made sure everything looked well and gave them a sticker. He got a cleaning with a regular toothbrush to get him familiar with the visits and gave him a dentist bag of goodies for his age! We will be back in 6 months so happy!

I have been bringing my daughter here since she was two. The staff has always been kind to us. She has aged out of the office and had her very last visit this week.

We had a very bad experience with Small Smiles. I was explaining the issue to the doctor from my daughter and he just rolled his eyes at us and left we were told what my daughter needed at another office, and I explained to the doctor what they said he seemed not to care at all. We went for something that we were told, and he said something else that he needed to be done, which made no sense to me. I will never go there again very bad experience. Doctors don’t really care for patients. they also seem to have a very bad attitude towards patients soon as you get in the door
