Bucktown Wicker Park Dental

I hate going to the dentist- like really hate it. But I recently went in for my first appointment at Bucktown Wicker Park dental and had the best experience I've had at the dentist. Communication was open prior to the appointment, making sure I knew what my copay would be beforehand. The tech was very friendly and gentle. The dentist was thorough and took his time talking to me and went out of his way to make me comfortable. The office did not seem overbooked and overwhelmed like my previous dentist. And the music was great!

I had a wonderful experience with an urgent dental situation involving a painful cracked tooth that required partial removal with a crown. Same day appointment! Dr. Johnson and the entire staff were wonderful! As a new patient with an urgent need, every member of the team was wonderful from the first call, insurance verification, new patient history, and the entire 3 hour visit with Dr Johnson and the technician were all exceptional! Thanks to BWPD for caring so much and for being so kind and compassionate on top of the excellent and highly competent care.

I highly recommend Doctor Johnson. He is extremely caring, attentive, and always make sure I feel comfortable during every visit. Dr johnson is the best dentist ive ever been to. All the work I’ve had done is shockingly painless, the work is immaculate and he explains the problems in a way that are very easy to understand and his strive to save your natural teeth is wonderful (other dentists told me i needed way more invasive work than i actually needed). The office is very clean and well kept and he has all the cool gadgets to make your smile the best it can be. Finding a good dentist you can trust is hard but after seeing Mr george you’ll never have to worry about that again.

I finally found a dentist who isn’t just trying to drain my wallet. Another clinic gave me a massive quote for five fillings and a root canal, but this doctor took the time to double-check everything. It turns out only two actually needed work, and the rest just needed a deep cleaning. He has an incredibly light touch—I didn’t even feel the numbing shot. He explains everything as he goes and shows you on the screen, so there are no surprises. I highly recommend him to anyone who’s nervous about the dentist!

Dr Johnson and his staff are fantastic! They do a great job of taking care of the patient and making everyone feel comfortable. Because let's be honest - It's not always comfortable to go to the dentist.

They messed up my FRONT tooth permanently. January I initially went in to get my permanent retainer that’s behind my teeth re-cemented on my front tooth which came loose multiple times between June-January. I had the process done about 4 times so I know how it goes, on this day I was assigned to a dentist I had never seen before and I left with my FRONT tooth shaved down from behind and the bottom, giving me an uneven VERY noticeable appearance. Instead of shaving residue glue down, they shaved my actual adult tooth down. This is malpractice on their end, this was preventable, I left with pressure on my tooth and spoke up before I saw my appearance and was told the "pressure was normal and would go away" there was no reason to feel pressure especially after having the process done many times I know how it goes. They offered to "fix it" but how can I trust them when I left with a bigger problem than I came in with? I had to get my tooth fixed elsewhere and I have to get it refilled and adjusted for THE REST OF MY LIFE. I took pride in my teeth, washed multiple times a day and flossed daily just for the "professionals" to ruin it. My tooth will never grow back, I’m stuck like this. I live with the discomfort and feel it every single day ever since. I was not made feel seen nor heard when this situation happened. Consider giving your business elsewhere.
