My husband and I are both patients of Carlsbad Coasta Dental. We have had excellent experiences .... from routine cleanings to crowns and implants the level of care is superb ! Dr. Thylin offers the highest level of precise technical expertise. He offers crowns and mouth guards that are made in office . This leads to one visit turn around time and exacting fit. We also appreciate that the focus is less on the superfluous frills and more on the dentistry excellence. Carlsbad Coastal staff is kind , compassionate and a joy to engage with !

Was a patient for years but due to a terrible experience my husband had I will be leaving this office too. He called in reporting tooth pain and he was referred to a specialist for root canal. To our surprise he was charged $400 for just a consult as this specialist is not within our network. When we reached out to be referred to another in network provider since the treatment would be over $2k they refused! How can you refuse to send to another provider who would cover the cost just because "they don’t work with them". We are now leaving to another dentist office who will care about the financial burden of their patients and not just about referring to their other dentist friends

Dr Thylin was highly recommended by a family member. I am 77 years old and have been to a lot of dentists over the years. Dr Thylin made a three-piece bridge and a veneer for me as well as a night guard. His level of expertise is exceptional and the staff were very kind and helpful. He has a 3-D printer and he was able to make my night guard and I was able to pick it up the next day.

I have been going to Carlsbad coastal dental for more than 10 years and I love this place. The technology, the expertise, the customer service is always better than expected. Everything is well explained and Dr. Thylin is so honest with our family's care. We schedule our whole family together and make it a dental day. They are very accommodating and I know it's really hard to get on the schedule but that's because they are awesome and in high demand so availability is limited. The office is extremely thoughtful of its patients. We get hand written mailed cards for all occasions and most recently I scheduled a teeth whitening because we're getting married November. Just 2 days later there's a card in the mail from the entire office congratulating us. It's so meaningful and appreciated to have our dentist do that! If you're able to use Carlsbad Coastal Dental I highly recommend them.

I just went to Coastal Dental for the first time and I was really impressed with the balance of compassion and professionalism. My dental hygienist was Laura and she was encouraging and patient and she gave me some awesome advice in hopes I'll be able to heal from some issues I'm having before my follow-up appt in 4 months. I love it when dental staff actually care about you and they don't try to sell you extra services, education is so important. The dentist was also amazing and explained some nutritional practices I could try to help with inflammation- even general practitioners generally don't do that! This dental office is top notch and I will definitely recommend them to my friends, family and coworkers.

My first visit and initial experience with Carlsbad Coastal Dental was excellent. Everyone is very polite, accommodating and professional. My exam was comfortable and they were very communicative about each step in their process. I’m very pleased with them as my families new dentist so far.

Rachel and Dr T are incredible! I drive 45 minutes just to go see them and over the years, many of my friends have started to make the journey as well. They are honest and focused on YOUR health and comfort. After having many dentists try to say I have cavities that need filling or fillings that need to be replaced, I am happy to go to a dentist where I know that if they say it needs to be done, then it does (surprise, I only needed 1!). Rachel has such a passion for her patients and their gums; she welcomes you with her signature excitement and stoke while making you comfortable during cleanings. It is always a pleasure to go see the Carlsbad Coastal Dental team!
