Post Office Lake Dental Associates

I have been going to this dentist for years now. Great family dentist and staff that greet you like family.

I started coming here about a year and a half ago when my son started braces. The work has been decent but I expect more. Customer service is lacking (rude), poor communication with patients (phone contact/answering and appointment reminders), limited flexibility with appointment scheduling. My final irritation was being charged a missed appointment fee during covid when they wouldn't even answer the phone during supposed work hours! Can't wait until my son's treatment is over...no way I would recommend this office to anyone!

The staff was warm and welcoming. The made sure I understood everything that was going with my child. They also referred me to a really good pediatric dentist. This is a great dental office. ****Update**** When I left this dentist I was referred to a pediatric dentist and they were suppose to send my daughters pictures of her teeth over. They never did and they never answered the phone. The pediatric dentist had to take all those pictures over again. In my opinion they didn’t care and only did to run up my insurance.

I've been to this office a few times already I do not have any complaints Dr Hood is very patient and a very good dentist he has solved my problems many times already his assistant is very nice and staff also I would recommend this office to my friends

The best family dentist office I have visited. Additionally, they always follow up with the patients to ensure things are well and if you need further assistance. For emergency appointments on the situation beyond your control, they will make you a non schedule appointment to assist you, and no long waiting time. Love them and love them ❤️💕

I have been going here since I was a child. Doctor Hood has always been very attentive to my and my brothers' needs. If one of us ever showed any signs of pain during a filling or root canal, he was quick to offer pain reliever. The man -- I believe -- has a genuine interest in his patients. He has always asked me about what's going on in my life and often remembers what I have told him. Honestly, I've never had a bad experience with anyone in the entire office.

I wish could have did no stars I visited Post Office Lake Dental for the first time for a routine cleaning and to address a cavity. When I scheduled the appointment, I clearly stated that I needed a cleaning and also had a cavity. However, upon arrival, the staff focused only on the filling and repeatedly asked if I was in pain. I explained several times that I was not in pain and was there for a cleaning, but my concerns were ignored. I was then told I would need to return for the cleaning, which was confusing and not explained clearly. During the X-rays, the dental assistant used an instrument that appeared rusted. I questioned whether it should have had a plastic cover, and I was told it was fine. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and wished I had left. When the dentist, Dr. Hood, entered the room, he did not introduce himself or explain the procedure. He appeared rushed throughout the visit. After administering the numbing agent, the entire side of my face was numb, which is not my normal experience. The swelling and numbness lasted for three days. Additionally, the office appeared unclean. I have been seeing dentists my entire life and have never had an experience like this. Following this visit, I developed an infection in the treated tooth and have been in pain for months. I was required to take a significant amount of Motrin for pain management, which caused stomach issues. The tooth has since broken, and I now need to have it extracted. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others against visiting this dental office, as I would not want anyone else to go through what I have experienced.
