After 20 months of braces, I couldn’t be happier with my results and my experience with this orthodontist. Wearing braces for almost two years is a commitment, but they made the process smooth and encouraging the whole way through. I truly felt like they cared about both my comfort and my final outcome. I was referred here with high hopes knowing how popular it is because most of my teeth don’t touch each other. But I was just told my mouth was mostly fine without my bite actually being checked as my teeth were mostly straight. Those are not the same thing and this is an urgent issue for me. Being dismissed again felt bad. Edit: The doctor here never tested my bite with articulating paper. I got a second opinion that confirmed that bite force is only on a few teeth and I still need to find an orthodontist second opinion that will care about distributing the force, not just how straight my teeth appear. I can have jaw issues and this at the same time. It’s really discouraging to tell doctors you’ve essentially not been chewing food for half a year and they basically show you no concern to that fact. This person may see many patients but after my experience I don’t think he can handle issues that are even a little bit complicated.
